Sometimes the Auliyaa (plural of 'Walee) get knowledge of something mysterious in their sleep or while awake. These are called 'Kashf or Ilhaam' (revelations or inspirations). If they are in-conformity with the Shari'ah (religious laws) they are acceptable otherwise not.
