NO ONE SHOULD SIT BETWEEN TWO PERSONS WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION

'Amr Ibne Shu'ayb radhiyallahu anhu related to us, on the authority of his father, Shu'ayb radhiyallahu anhu, who had heard it from his grandfather, Abdullah Ibne 'Amr Ibne 'Aas radhiyallahu anhu that the Apostle of Allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, "Do not sit between two persons without their permission."

Aboo Daawood

COMMENTARY:
The same Tradition has been quoted, again, in Aboo Daawood and in Tirmizi, on the authority of Abdullah Ibne 'Amr Ibne 'Aas radhiyallahu anhu, with a slight variation of words. It says, "It is not allowed for anyone to sit between two persons sitting side by side, without their permission, and (thus), to separate them from each other."
