About Allah The Almighty

Mas’alah 1: There was no Universe in the beginning. It came into being by order of Allah.

Mas’alah 2: Allah is one. He is not subordinate to or dependent upon any one. He has neither given birth to anyone nor has been born of someone. He has no consort nor anyone is equal to Him.

Mas’alah 3: He is eternal. He hath been from eternity and shall remain till eternity.

Mas’alah 4: There is nothing like Him. He is unique.

Mas’alah 5: He is alive. He has command over everything and there is nothing without His knowledge. He sees and hear, everything. He talks but His speech is not like us. He does Whatever He likes according to His will and there is no one to check Him. He alone is worthy of being worshipped. He has no partner. He is merciful to His creatures. He is the Lord of all, free from all blemishes. He is the Creator of all things and Forgiver of sins. He is Almighty. He bestows respect or reduces to disgrace. He is The Just. He has the greatest tolerance and forbearance. He values worship and devotion. He accepts prayers. He saves his creatures from all calamities. He is the Creator of all and will bring all to life again on the Day of Judgement.

Mas’alah 6: He gives life and death. His signs and qualities are known to all but no one can know the mystery of His existence. He forgives sins and punishes those who deserve it. He guides and all that happens in this world is under His orders. Even a leaf cannot move without His order.

Mas’alah 7: He neither sleeps nor dozes and is never tired of controlling the affairs of the world. He sustains everything and all good qualifies are His. He alone possesses the knowledge of the things to be.

Mas’alah 8: All of His qualities are eternal and none of them shall ever diminish.

Mas’alah 9: He is free from human qualities; and whatever is said in the Holy Qur’aan about it, its meaning should be left to Him as He alone knows its significance and we believe it all without being inquisitive and have faith in it. Whatever it means is true and just. This is the best way or we may give meaning to it according to our better understanding in order to make it comprehensible.

Mas’alah 10: Whatever good or bad happens in this world has ever been is His knowledge long before its happening and He lets it happen according to His knowledge. This is called destiny or fate and there are mysteries in the creation of evils which every one cannot comprehend.

Mas’alah 11: Allah has blessed the human beings with understanding and intent and according to their discretion they do good or evil but no one has the power to create anything. Allah is displeased with Sinful deeds and pleased with good acts.

Mas’alah 12: Allah has not commanded His creatures to do anything beyond their capacity.

Mas’alah 13: Allah is not bound by anything. Any kindness that He does is on account of His Mercifulness.
