KUFR AND SHIRK (Disbelief in Allah and attributing of partners to Him)

The following deeds and things arc forbidden by religion and their practice is Kufr and Shirk :

  1. To like disbelief and to appreciate things of disbelief or to make someone else to commit an act of disbelief.
  2. To repent own Faith on account of any reason and to think that had he not been a Muslim he could get such and such thing or benefits.
  3. To wail and cry at the death of a child or other relative and to say that this was the only being left for Allah to kill and there was none else in the world or to say that Allah should not have done this or that no one commits such outrage as Allah has done.
  4. To think ill of or to criticise adversely any act, order or instructions of Allah or that of the Holy Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam and to find fault with them.
  5. To insult, defame or disgrace any Prophet or to find fault with them.
  6. To believe that any saint or holy man is aware of our state.
  7. To ask about unknown matters from an astrologer or a person-under the influence of a Jinn and believe in it.
  8. To take omen from the writings of a holy man and believe it.
  9. To call a person from a great distance and think that he has heard it.
  10. To think someone to be the controller of the affairs of harm and benefit.
  11. To beseech someone for the fulfillment of one's desires livelihood or childhood.
  12. To keep fast in the name of someone.
  13. To bow before anyone.
  14. To release an animal in anyone's name or to make an offering in anyone's name.
  15. To make a pledge in the name of someone to do certain act or offering upon the fulfillment of the beseeched desire.
  16. To walk round the grave or house of someone.
  17. To give priority to other things, customs or rites over the orders of Allah or to bow before anyone or to stand motionless like a statue before anyone.
  18. To make an offering of goat etc. to a Jinn, to sacrifice an animal in anyone's name or to offer something to be relieved from ghosts or to worship the naval cord for the line of the child.
  19. To call anyone for justice.
  20. To respect any place equal to Ka'bah.
  21. To prick the ears or nose of the child in the name of anyone and to let them wear ear or nose rings in his name.
  22. To tie a coin on the arm in the name of someone or wear a string in the neck in anyone's name.
  23. To tie bridal chaplet to the children or to keep lock of hair over their heads or to make them beggars of someone or to give them such names as Ali Bakhsh (given by Ali), Hussain Bakhsh (given by Hussain) or Abdul Nabi.
  24. To offer an animal in any saint's name to honour it.
  25. To believe that the affairs of the world are under influence of stars.
  26. To take omens and to enquire about auspicious or inauspicious days and dates. To consider and believe any month or date as inauspicious.
  27. To recite any saint's name as remembrance or to swear by someone's head or to keep photos particularly of some Saint and to respect it.
  28. To say that if Allah and His Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) wished such and such thing will be done.

All of the above acts and beliefs are anti-religion and Muslims should avoid them.
